Furbaby Friday: Azula’s Week in Reading 3/11/22

Happy Friday, book friends! We’re through another week, and it’s time for a Friday check-in with Azula.

Morning cuddle curl reading time

Andy continues to go in to the office every day, since he’s prepping for a big trade show. Thankfully for Azula, my workplace had a water main break on Monday so I was home an extra day. Not that I learned about this until after making the half hour drive to work, of course.

In spite of the extra day of work time attention, Azula is still a whole bundle of energy by today and is quite insistently squeaking her ball at me as we speak. I am assured that heelers exit the puppy/demon phase around two years old, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

On Wednesday we got some surprise snow, which she enjoyed far more than I did during our morning walk. I had to use my audiobook to coax myself out the door in such weather after a few warm, sunny days.

I’ve gotten quite a lot of audiobook reading in this week, wrapping up The Road Trip and sailing through Ali Hazelwood’s next novella in the STEMinist series, Stuck With You. According to Goodreads and StoryGraph, this puts me back “on track” for my reading goal.

This weekend, we’re expecting more snow, so I anticipate some sulking in the house under blankets with a good book. Or books, since I’m over halfway through my current ebook read and will likely finish it soon.

Azula says it’s time to stop blogging and start focusing more on throwing her ball, so I think I’ll leave it here for now.

How was your week, book friends? Read anything good?

  1. Azula is adorable! I love that she has a squeaky ball. We have 3 dogs and the youngest, Balto, is a husky puppy and he has a squeaky pineapple that he loves.

  2. Azula is beautiful and sounds like a special member of your family. I love audiobooks – they can be listened to almost anywhere!
