Furbaby Friday: Azula’s Week in Reading 4/14/22

Oh my gosh, it’s finally actually Friday! This has been one of those weeks where I kept thinking it was Friday, then realizing it was not.

We’ve had some nice, sunny days this week along with a mix of cold, rainy ones. That means plenty of walks for Azula, even a couple of extra long ones!

Azula on her morning stroll

It’s also meant keeping the window open in the bedroom, which turns out to be a little scary for our pup.

The way our house works, when the bedroom window is open, the bedroom door will sometimes just randomly creak open. Azula assumes this means there is a ghost/intruder/whatever dogs fear most. So, she woke us up in the middle of the night twice this week by cowering in the corner of the room next to Andy, the extra light sleeper. We comforted her and Andy even let her sleep tucked up next to us instead of down at the food of the bed. Part of me wonders if that was her plan all along.

Bedroom ghosts aside, it’s been a pretty good week for our little lady. She got her Super Chewer box, which included another one of the rabbit toys we like to put peanut butter in. This one needed to be pulled out of a hat first, which was very cute to watch.

Our nightly cuddles have involved more video games than reading this week, since the announcement that Kingdom Hearts IV was in development made me realize I needed to catch up and play KH III.

This weekend will probably not be the most exciting for Azula, since it’s full speed ahead on all the wedding tasks and weird items are going to be in the living room while we organize all the decor and favors. Guess we’ll be making some peanut butter bunnies to make it up to her.

That’s Azula and I’s week with very little reading! How was your week, book friends?

  1. Aww, poor Azula. I hope she gets over her fear of the creaky door. I always slept with my baby tucked up beside me, but he only weighed 22 pounds. Have a great weekend.

  2. I really enjoy catching up to Azula’s week! I don’t like squeaky doors either Azula! Quiet reading week for me as well due to a mini-vacation and first plane ride in 3 years! Thanks for sharing.

  3. I really enjoy hearing about Azula. I wouldn’t like a creaky door opening either. Best wishes to you as your wedding gets closer.
