Happy Friday, book friends! Azula was very relieved to have a pretty normal week after the weirdness of being in different houses with different people during our honeymoon. While she enjoyed visiting with her Auntie Steph and playing with her best buddy Ozzy, she was definitely pretty stoked to see us when we came to pick her up last week, and even more stoked to see her own home again.
This week we got back to the routine of reading and cuddles in the morning, regular walkies, and plenty of ball fetchies. There was also some excitement in the form of a cat hanging out in the back yard and the arrival of Azula’s monthly PupBox.
It’s also officially porch reading season, which means we spent some time out in the sunshine enjoy a book (me) and a frozen peanut butter bunny (Azula). A few nights this week, it was hot enough for us to turn on the AC unit in the bedroom, where I’ve been retreating more often to read before bed. Azula likes to join me for some snuggles and to take full advantage of the one room in our house that gets reliably cool during the summer.
In all, this was a week of settling back into our routines before Andy heads off on a business trip late next week and Azula has to navigate a little bit of weirdness again.
This weekend, I’m hoping to do a good bit of writing and reading, since we don’t have any major plans on the horizon. Andy is going to finally dig and cement a hole for our Little Free Library, which means she should be up and ready to go in the next few weeks. I can’t wait to share pictures with you all and begin sharing books with the neighborhood!
That’s it from Azula & me this week, book friends! How was your week? Any good reading plans ahead for the weekend?
