Happy Tuesday, book friends! This week I’m doing another Top 5 Tuesday, because it was a ton of fun last week! Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
This week’s topic is a freebie, so I’m picking up one of the topics from earlier in the month that I missed since I wasn’t participating yet–my favorite snacks for reading.
Cheese Its are probably my top favorite snack for any occasion, but I especially like to have a mug full while I’m reading. I can’t fully explain why I like to eat snacks out of mugs instead of bowls, but I do.
If it’s a sweet snack I’m after, I love peanut M&Ms. They’re one of my favorite candies, and they’re a good way to snack on chocolate while reading without risking chocolate on the book pages.
PopCorners Kettle Corn, With Chocolate Chips
I don’t like actual kettle corn, but I do like the kettle corn flavor of PopCorners, for some reason. Pairing them with chocolate chips is my go to way to enjoy these.
Apparently chocolate and mugs are the overarching theme of my reading snacks. I love to make a mug brownie with a peanut butter center and enjoy it while I read. Azula enjoys being offended that I got out the peanut butter and didn’t share it with her.
More of a beverage than a snack, but it’s harder to think of snacks than I expected so here we are. Diet Coke is one of my vices that I can’t seem to quit, and I’ll occasionally have one over ice while I’m reading.
There you have it, my top five reading snacks of the moment! Do you have particular favorite snacks for reading? And, more importantly, am I the only weirdo who likes to use mugs for snacks?
