Happy Monday, book friends! This week is another NetGalley edition of book mail Monday, as I requested and received a few more digital arcs to line my digital shelves.
This week, I was approved for two new titles.
What’s Eating Us: Women, Food, and the Epidemic of Body Anxiety by Cole Kazdin (Out March 2023)
This is my personal favorite type of nonfiction, a “blend of personal narrative and investigative reporting” in which Kazdin dives into the diet industry and the plethora of negative impacts it has had upon people’s mental and physical health over the years. Definitely in my wheelhouse, and I’m excited to dig in.
Study Break: 11 College Tales from Orientation to Graduation by Aashna Avachat (Out March 2023)
This book is a collection of short stories written by Gen Z authors, exploring “the college experience.” As someone who works in higher ed, teaching and working with Gen Z students, I had to hit request on this one. I’m curious to read about the college experience from this generation’s perspective.
Those are my additions to the digital shelves this week! Have you picked up any new books recently?
Great bookmail Amanda! What’s Eating Us sounds interesting and I look forward to reading your thoughts on it.
These both look so good! I’m interested in What’s Eating Us: Women, Food, and the Epidemic of Body Anxiety. I hope you enjoy both of these.
