Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday, book friends! After a much needed three day weekend, I’m back to the office today. But first, there’s a Top 5 Tuesday post to write!
We’ve reached September which means a new theme for the prompts, and I’m excited for these fun and slightly silly prompts ahead. Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their blog to get the details and the prompts for each week.
This week’s prompt is “top 5 ways to catch a bookworm.” In other words, how to get a book lover to leave their house and actually socialize. Let’s see what I can come up with!

Make a Trail of Books
The easiest way to catch a bookworm is with books, of course! Forget a trail of breadcrums, use a trail of books instead.
Tempt Them With a Warm Beverage
I don’t know many bookworms who don’t also love a good warm beverage, be it tea or coffee or hot chocolate, to go along with their reading.
Suggest a Trip to the Bookstore
The best way to get me out of the house? Invite me to visit my favorite local bookstore!
Tell Them You Spotted Their Favorite Author
A Mindy Kaling sighting? Emily Henry at the grocery store? A book signing with Kerry Winfrey? Wherever you tell me you’ve found my favorite author, I’m so there, it’s insane! Just as soon as I round up a book for them to sign.
Entice them With Bookish Goodies
Sure, book lovers adore a good book. But in my experience, we also enjoy book-related things, like a nice blanket with a literary quote, or a pair of book-shaped earrings.
How’d I do, book friends? Would you leave the house for any of the above? I could definitely got for a nice warm beverage at my local bookstore after writing this, that’s for sure!
You tell me we’re going to a bookstore, or even a library and my interest will definitely be piqued! Great list!!
All these would work for me! Nice creative choices.
