Happy Tuesday, book friends! I can’t believe it’s already the last Tuesday in September. As much as I’m excited for the slow down that October will (hopefully) bring at work, it is a busy month ahead for my personal life, so I’d be okay if things slowed down just a smidge.
This week I’m bringing you yet another Top 5 Tuesday post! This week’s prompt is “Things a bookworm would never do.”
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their blog to get the details and the prompts for each week.
Say No To a Trip to the Bookstore (or Library)
I’ve yet to meet the bookworm who doesn’t want to go to the bookstore, even if it’s just to browse and be with books for a little while.
Get Rid of their Beloved Old Copy of a Favorite Book
There are some books on my shelves that look a little worse for wear from so many reads, but I’d never dream of parting with them. I have memories with that tattered old copy of Hawksong thank you very much.
Pass Up a Used Book Sale
Can any book lover walk by a used book sale without at least a quick peek to see if there’s anything good?
Go On Vacation with Packing a Book (Or Five)
If you’re not spending some of the trip curled up with a good book, can you even call it a vacation?
Look Forward to the Movie (or TV) Adaptation Without Being Nervous They’ll Ruin Everything
Do I love to see a favorite book find a wider audience by being adapted to the screen? Yes. Do I trust that they always get it right? Absolutely not.
This prompt was so much fun to think about! Tell me, book friends–what is something you’d never do in your bookish life?
What a fun topic this week! You’ve nailed it! The one thing I would add is to be anywhere without my Kindle!
Oooh, yes! That’s a good one, too!
I love all these answers, especially pass up a trip to a bookstore or library
