Why Your Book Friend is Doing Blogtober, Again

Happy October, book friends! Last year, I participated for the first time in the blogging extravaganza known as Blogtober. The goal is to post every day of the month for the entirety of October, and I had a ton of fun taking part and meeting other bloggers last year.

I debated whether I would be able to participate again this year, even though I knew I really wanted to. Work has been incredibly busy this year as I take on bigger responsibilities in my role, and October will be a particularly full month in my personal life as well. My childhood best friend (and original book friend) is getting married, and I’m honored to be her Maid of Honor. That means traveling to Virginia for the wedding weekend.

I’ve also got my half marathon in my hometown of Cincinnati the second weekend in October, and a little something else requiring travel the first weekend (it’s a surprise so I can’t say more at the moment). All in all, I’ll only be home for one weekend for the entire month, and that makes the idea of posting every day in October a little bit daunting.

And yet.

I really wanted to be a part of the Blogtober excitement. So, I’m throwing my bookish hat into the ring this month but making no promises. I may miss a day or two given everything that’s going on, but I think that’s okay.

Stay tuned for an announcement of my Witchtober 2022 plans (that’s my name for reading witchy books all month to celebrate spooky season), photos of my LFL in her Halloween best, and whatever else I can come up with to fill the month of October with book blogging goodness!

  1. I completely understand your business! My sister got married in June and we were all Bridesmaids and part of the wedding party etc- it was such a busy and wonderful time. Looking forward to Witchtober xxx

  2. Looks like you have a lot going on in October. Weddings are so much fun, I hope you enjoy being in the wedding of your friend. And best of luck to you on the half marathon!
