Book Mail Monday 10/3/2022

Happy Monday, book friends! And happy Day 3 of Blogtober to all who are participating in the challenge of writing a blog post a day for the month. (If you want to know more about this, I wrote a post about why I’m participating in Blogtober).

I spent the weekend driving to and from Virginia for my best friend’s joint bachelorette party with her fiance. I’m so glad I was able to spend the weekend with them and celebrate their upcoming wedding! It was also lovely to drive through the mountains as the fall colors start to come in, and I really enjoyed the alone time with my audiobook as well. I listened to the entirety of Christina Lauren’s Something Wilder and my goodness was it a good pick for the drive! Much more adventure suspense vibes than I expected, which made the time go by quickly.

But of course, it’s October now, which means most of my month will be witchy reads. I received the last two of my witchy TBR books in the mail this week, so I’ve got a little Book Mail Monday feature before I turn my attentions to reading the books I’ve got rather than getting ahold of new ones.

A long suffering Azula asks why I keep putting her in my book photos

A Spindle Splintered by Alix E. Harrow

Given the length of The Once and Future Witches, I expected this to be a massively long book. Imagine my surprise when this slim little hardcover arrived instead! Very excited to get to this one and feeling more optimistic about finishing my Witchtober TBR now that I’ve seen it isn’t a monster.

The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling

We’ll see if I like the second book in this series better than I liked The Ex Hex. If nothing else, the cover art for these sure is adorable and eye-catching!

Hope your week is off to a great start! Have you gotten any exciting new books or other goodies in the mail recently?

  1. I’m glad you had a lovely time at the party and your journey sounds lovely too with the views and audiobook. Those new books look very tempting! xxx

  2. I’ve been in a reading slump this year but I’ve decided, after reading all these book posts, that I’m going to start one of my Stephen King books that I got for Christmas last year!
