Happy Tuesday, book friends! So far, so good with Blogtober, and I’m enjoying posting every day. I was even more excited to write today’s post when I saw the topic for this week’s Top 5 Tuesday, which is… anticipated reads for October-December of this year! I can hardly believe there’s just a handful of months between now and the end of 2022, but here we are rounding out the reading year!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their blog to get the details and the prompts for each week.
Since I’ve got a Witchtober TBR post in the works already, I’m going to focus on what I’m excited to read the rest of the year, including a few of the holiday books I’ve got my eyes on.
Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca
Obviously I can’t wait for Well Traveled to come out so I can get my hands on a copy! I love this series and have high hopes that I’ll enjoy this one. It comes out December 6th and I’ve probably (?) preordered it already, so I’ll definitely be reading it before the year’s end.
The Quarantine Princess Diaries* by Meg Cabot
This book doesn’t actually come out until March 2023 but by some gift of the Universe, I was approved for an ARC through NetGalley (thank you!!). I am way too excited to wait until next year to read The Quarantine Princess Diaries and expect it’ll feature in my holiday reading soon enough.
All I Want for Christmas by Maggie Knox
I enjoyed The Holiday Swap well enough to hit “Want to Read” when I saw that Maggie Knox has another winter holiday rom come title coming out. All I Want for Christmas comes out today, October 4th, so we’ll see how long I keep my promise not to add any more books to the stacks until I make at dent in the physical TBR.
Kiss Her Once for Me by Alison Cochrun
What’s better than fake dating? Not much, in my opinion, but I like that “fake dating but they fall for their fake-dates sibling” comes pretty close. Kiss Her Once for Me comes out on November 1st.
A Cat Cafe Christmas by Codi Gary
Cats? Cafes? Christmas? Sounds like a cozy winter read to me! A Cat Cafe Christmas comes out today, October 4th.
I love the idea of reading some Christmas books. They do sound so cosy and heartwarming to read.
I read a few for the first time last year and really enjoyed it!
These books all caught my eye too! I hope that you enjoy them all!
Thanks, you too!
I definitely need to read the cozy cat christmas book. That looks like the perfect cold weather read! 😻
Cat Cafe looks soooo cute, and DeLuca is a must read for me. I read the Knox book last week. Not as big a hit as their previous book, but I still liked it. BIG use of miscommunication trope. So, beware.
Oooo good to know! Miscommunication trope is a classic but also one of the most infuriating ones especially now when there are SO MANY WAYS to contact someone.
I really want to go to a cat cafe so it sounds perfect, is it a romance too?
Yes, it’s a romance!
All of these books look and sound amazing. *goes to TBR and adds all of them*
I’m really excited to get my hands on a few of these, too. I can’t wait for Well Traveled. Hope we both love it!!
I’m really looking forward to The Quarantine Princess Diaries and Well Traveled as well. Nice list!
Thank you! Hope you enjoy them when you get to them!
Oh I might have to check out some of the Christmas books to get me in the festive mood this year! x
I definitely think they add something to the holiday season! 🙂
Ooh, these all sound great. Happy reading and thanks for sharing! xxx
I will definitely be reading some Christmas books, I really want to read the Cat Cafe Christmas.
It’s definitely a fun premise for a cozy holiday read!
