Happy Friday, book friends! It’s been a pretty good week, all things considered. Got some reading done, enjoyed many snuggles with Azula, and looking forward to a chill weekend at home.
Most nights this week, I got to hang out at home with Azula and Andy. On Wednesday, I had a hair appointment, which means a little dedicated reading time while the purple dye in my streak sets.
Also, a game I’ve been eagerly waiting for finally arrived on my doorstep! Sarah Anderson (of Sarah’s Scribbles) created a card game called Future Me Problems. I joined in on Kickstarter-y campaign for the game, and now, it’s here! The idea is to collect distractions (watching Netflix, going down an internet rabbit hole) and avoid responsibilities (phone calls, emails). Once a player draws the Big Important Task, the game ends, and whoever has the most distractions wins! All of the cards have Sarah’s Scribbles illustrations on them, naturally. I am obsessed already and plan to force anyone who comes to my house to play it with me.

This weekend I’m planning to hang out with Azula and bake sourdough and read The No-Show, which I started last night. It’s going to be an unusually warm weekend for November, which means plenty of nice walkies for Azula.
I hope you’ve had a good week, and a great weekend planned ahead!
Future Me Problems sounds like an interesting game. I’m glad you’re able to get some reading time in and some great walking weather for Azula.
Thanks, Jodie!
Hope you have a pleasant weekend. Enjoy the walks with Azula and the new game!
Thank you!
It sounds like you have a wonderful weekend ahead. Enjoy all your activities.
Sounds like you had such a nice night and got to spend some time with Azula!
I admire you baker types. Do you have a starter you have nurtured for ages? Fingers crossed you enjoy The No-Show as much as I did. That twist made the biggest difference for me.
My starter isn’t that old! I had one for a long time but I let it go by the wayside so I started over not long ago. Baking is such a stress reliever for me.
