Happy Tuesday, book friends! This time of year always feels a bit weird to me, like time sort of loses meaning between the holidays and the new year. But I managed to remember that today is Tuesday, which means it’s time for another Top 5 Tuesday post!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their blog to get the details and the prompts for each week. Today’s prompt is top 5 books you read in 2022. However, I already put up my list of the top 10 books I read this year, so I’m putting a new spin on this one. I’ll be listing the top 5 books released in 2022 that I still need to read. These also happen to all be books I’ve purchased, which are sitting patiently on the TBR cart.
Okay, let’s dive in!
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
I still can’t believe I haven’t read this one yet, but I somehow just haven’t felt it was the right time to pick it up.
Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca
This book just came out this month, so I’ll get to it soon, but not yet!
Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting by Clare Pooley
This book sounds so good! The TBR is long, and it just hasn’t made it to the top quite yet.
I Came All This Way to Meet You by Jami Attenberg
I tend to read a lot of nonfiction and memoir earlier in the year and taper off as it goes on. Not sure why that is, but it’s the ebb and flow of my year.
Bittersweet by Susan Cain
Ditto the above, really.
So there we have it–books from the year that I meant to get to, but never did. I recently culled down on my physical TBR to get rid of books that I know I just won’t ever get to, and these all remain at the top of the list for will read, very soon.
Which 2022 releases have you not gotten around to yet?
I actually read the first three. Iona was my favorite of the bunch. I hope you get to them at some point
Thank you! I’m sure I’ll get to them soon. 🙂
My list is so long, it would take the rest of the week to post. Seriously, I have a lot.
I have way more than just this five, too! So many books out there to read.
I hope you enjoy all these books, Amanda
Thank you, Wendy!
