Happy Wednesday, book friends! The weather has warmed up a bit here in Pittsburgh, so Azula and I have gone for plenty of walks. Naturally, that means I’ve had a lot of good audiobook time.
The husband and I have been busy packing and cleaning the house, getting ready for our move, which is quickly approaching! Most of my books are in boxes now, and the house feels lonely without them. I’m looking forward to unpacking them and reconsidering my shelf organizational system, though. It’s got a bit sporadic over the years, so we’ll see what I come up with.
In spite of all the walking and the packing, I did manage to get a good bit of reading done, as well. In fact, I’m still on track with my Goodreads challenge, which is unusual for this time of year for me. I take that as a sign that I actually set an appropriate goal this year.

Recent Reads
I finished Olivia Dade’s Spoiler Alert, though it wasn’t easy for me to get through. I’m disappointed that I didn’t like this one more, as I know many people really love it. But for me, it was a bit too predictable and had too many awkward spicy scenes. There were elements of the book that I liked, but overall, I don’t think I’ll go on with the series. I’ve got a review lined up and ready to post later this week.
Current Reads
I’m still working my way through True Biz and Initiated, and I expect I’ll finish both of them by the end of this week.
On audio, I’ve started Evanna Lynch’s memoir, The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting. It’s narrated by the author (the actress who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, if you didn’t know), and it is amazing. I can already tell it will be a new favorite of mine. It’s heavy stuff, but brilliantly and honestly written.
Up Next & On to You
I’ll be headed to my Kindle next to read an ARC or two to try and stay relatively caught up with NetGalley releases, though I’ve also got a shiny new copy of Really Good, Actually that is calling my name and which I refused to pack up because I want to get to it ASAP. So, we’ll see where I head once I finish my current reads.
What about you, book friends? What have you been reading, and how has it been treating you?
I had read one Dade book, and I fell out of love quickly. I remember this one being pretty good, but I had to ignore things. These are things that seem to be “signature” for Dade, and just aren’t for me. Glad to hear the move is going well. Enjoy the warmth! I know I am
I’m reading Episode Thirteen right now. I’m enjoying it. I don’t completely love it, but it’s been fun.
Sorry you’re not loving it, but I’m glad it’s at least enjoyable!
I have not heard of The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting before. I just added it to my Library hold.
