Furbaby Friday 3/3/2023

Happy first Friday of March, book friends! Azula and I are settling nicely into a routine here in the cabin, with our new morning walking route and plenty of ball fetchies right in our own backyard.

I’ve been reading most mornings and evenings, snuggled up on the couch with Azula. She’s curled up next to me as I write this, on the new blanket I bought to celebrate being in our new home. It’s a sun and moon blanket from HausWitch that I’ve been obsessed with for years, ever since I visited the shop when in Salem. I figured if I’ve been thinking about it this long, I may as well actually bring it into our home.

Not too much of note has happened this week, more just same old same old. I’m getting back into a regular morning yoga routine after dropping off during the move. The ceiling is a bit low in my office, but it’s still the best and coziest place to practice in the new house. Azula finally figured out that’s what I was up to and joined me yesterday, sitting on the mat and looking out her favorite window while I did yoga. I say I get the extra long mats because I’m tall, but it’s also partly to make space for pets, if I’m honest. My cat, Artemis, used to love laying on the top of my mat while I did yoga, and Azula seems to enjoy sitting up there as well.

The weather has been a bit warmer and windier, with plenty of springish vibes as we make our way to the season. The birds are chirping and flitting between the trees, and Azula is fascinated by so much wildlife right outside her windows. She does a tour of the house every morning, looking out all the windows she can reach to see what’s going on.

In Case You Missed It

This past week on the blog, we had…

That’s all for this week’s Furbaby Friday check-in! I hope you had a great week and have a wonderful weekend ahead!

  1. How lovely to have such a sweet yoga companion. Promise if Azula starts doing it with you, you get that on film. I have seen some IG cats and dogs doing it. My pets never did such things.
