What We’re Reading Wednesday, March 22nd

Happy Wednesday, book friends! This post is coming a little later in the morning than usual because my mom has been in town visiting and I wanted to see her off today.

We’ve been running around town exploring and shopping, then spending our evenings watching Only Murders in the Building. So, definitely a bit less reading these last few days than usual.

Since I moved to Pittsburgh and moved in with my husband, Mom and I haven’t really had any mother daughter time, so it was nice to spend time just the two of us while Mr. Your Book Friend is on a business trip. Or I should say just the three of us, because Azula is here too and she loves spending time with her grandma.

Let’s get into the reading updates, little though I may have since last week!

Recent Reads

I haven’t finished any new books since last week. Alas, my Goodreads challenge informs me I’m now only two books ahead of schedule instead of three.

Current Reads

Still working on the same two books as last week! Morning read is Witches of America, though I’ve spent my mornings with my chatty extroverted mother this week instead.

I started Play the Fool*, one of my NetGalley titles, and am enjoying it so far. It’s a mystery where a tarot reader tries to solve the disappearance of her friend, so a bit outside my usual genre but I couldn’t resist!

Up Next & On to You

No idea what I’ll read next since I’m still very much in the middle of these two books! But there’s certainly no lack of books on my TBR cart and my NetGalley shelf to choose from.

What about you, book friends? What are you reading right now, and how is it treating you?

  1. Great post!

Only Murders in the Building is one of my favorite shows! I can not wait for Season 3!

I’m currently reading The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave. I have a little over 100 pages until I finish reading it, but I am really liking this book so far.

    • Seems like we need to have a blogger watch party for Season 3 lol. Glad to hear so many people like the show as much as I do!

I’ve heard so many good things about that book and am glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
