Happy Friday, book friends, and a happy Good Friday to those who celebrate. It has been a cloudy, rainy few days here in PA, and Azula and I have gotten in plenty of cuddle and reading time. I finished two books this week (good progress, for me). I’m especially pleased to report that I’ve finally finished Witches of America. My feelings about this book are complicated, and I’m hoping to get a review up soon.
Azula and I have spent a few days home alone as Andy had to go into the office. We took walks, played a bit of fetch, and generally hung out. She’s been a good girl mostly, finally settling in after the first excitement of spring had her all hyped last week.
In other news, the car we ordered way back in August 2022 after mine broke down in the Liberty Tunnel has finally come in! We’re hoping to go pick it up some time this weekend, and I’m so excited to be a two car household again that I can scarcely fathom the freedom.
I’ve been feeling a bit better this week, but unfortunately my occipital neuralgia pain flare hasn’t quite let up yet. I feel okay unless I move too much or too quickly, which jostles my head and causes a jolt of pain. It isn’t fun, but it’s better than constant pain I suppose, as I can read and do other things as long as I am careful. Hopefully I’ll be on the other side of it soon (until next time), with a bit more rest and plenty of hydration.
No major plans ahead for this weekend, which will be nice after the hustle and bustle of last Saturday. I started reading Her Majesty’s Royal Coven last night and can already tell I’m going to love it, so suspect I’ll spend a good bit of the weekend with the book.

That’s about it for this week’s Furbaby Friday check in! I hope you had a great week, and a wonderful weekend ahead!
Your neuralgia sounds horrible Amanda and I hope you feel better soon. I hope you have a wonderful Easter/long weekend!
I hope your flare up dissipates soon! No fun. It was hot and sunny here near D.C. for most of this week, until today. Now it’s overcast and in the 50s and my motivation has decreased haha. Have a good weekend!
I’m so glad that you’re finishing up Witches of America! I thought it was really good, but I’m curious to hear what your thoughts are. I’m also glad that you had a chance to relax at home while your dog was being good.
I had mixed thoughts on it. I’d have liked it better if the synopsis was more aligned with the content, I think. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I’m sorry to hear your neuralgia is flaring. I hope you feel better soon. How exciting to finally get the car, I hope you’re enjoying it.
