It’s not just the natural world that’s waking up for springtime, my friends. This has been one of those weeks where the news stories just kept coming and they didn’t stop coming!

It’s been a bit since I’ve been this excited to share the book news of the week, so let’s hop right into it! (Hop, get it? Because Easter weekend?)

“Tiny Beautiful Things” TV Series Now Available on Hulu

Just a quick note since I’ve been following this one with anticipation — Tiny Beautiful Things dropped the first season on Hulu on April 7th!

Please excuse me while I watch Kathryn Hahn play a fictionalized version of our beloved Dear Sugar columnist for the entire weekend.

Jeopardy! Champion Amy Schneider to Release a Memoir

I only saw a few episodes of Amy’s 40-episode run on Jeopardy! but I follow her on Twitter where she is just a ton of fun. Naturally, I was thrilled to see that she is now releasing a memoir!

It is aptly titled In the Form of a Question and will take a look at her life and propensity to ask questions about herself and the world. I will definitely be looking forward to this one, which is set to release on October 3rd.

It’s Happening! Beach Read Now Also Set to be a Movie

Remember last week, when I wrote about how Book Lovers was going to be a movie, and some of you were like, “but what about Beach Read?”

Well, Emily Henry hopped into the inboxes of her newsletter suscribers on April 5th to announce… it’s happening! Beach Read will be adapted by 20th Century Studios, making it the third of Henry’s book with an adaptation in the works.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a single author have three books in the process of adaptation simultaneously like this, and it will be interesting to see how these shake out as they finally come into being. Will it usher in the return of the big cinematic rom com? Only time will tell.

There we have it, the news of the week! With so many exciting updates in the world of books and reading, are there any I missed? Let me know!
