Happy Friday, book friends! The light is hitting the plants around our house just right, and it is absolutely gorgeous outside. Azula is dilligently chewing one of her bones beside me, and Mr. Your Book Friend is here, as well. In all, quite a comfy and cozy morning here on the farm.
Speaking of the farm, I helped harvest some radishes yesterday while Azula supervised. It’s our first harvest here, and Mr. Your Book Friend is incredibly pleased with how well they turned out. He’s been working hard on improving the soil and making big plans, so it’s good to see it pay off.
This weekend, we’re hosting a few friends for Memorial Day, including Azula’s best buddy Ozzy. It will be his first visit to the new house, and I can’t wait to see the two of them running around our much bigger yard. We’re also going to have a fire, so I’m excited for some fireside reading.
I have five books going right now, which is the most I’ve had at one time in quite a while. It’s working out well enough so far, and I’m enjoying most of the current reads. I’m looking forward to hopefully finishing some of them over the long weekend, fingers crossed.
